Consumer Cancellation and Withdrawal

Last updated: 25 August 2026

This page explains the difference between cancelling a Yachtara subscription and exercising any statutory consumer right of withdrawal that applies to you.

1. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel through the Yachtara account or Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. Unless applicable law or the withdrawal right below provides otherwise, the subscription remains available until the end of the paid period and unused time is not refunded.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Delete or uninstall only after checking that the subscription has been cancelled.

2. EU/EEA fourteen-day withdrawal right and rights elsewhere

If you are an EU or EEA consumer and the statutory withdrawal right applies to your contract, you normally have 14 calendar days from the day the subscription contract is concluded to withdraw without giving a reason.

For a Yachtara free trial, the contract is concluded when the trial starts. The 14-day period therefore starts on the first day of the trial, not on the first payment date.

The seven-day trial is free. EU/EEA consumers request immediate access when starting it. If Yachtara has charged the initial subscription payment before receiving a valid EU/EEA withdrawal within the first 14 days, Yachtara will refund that initial charge using the original payment method, subject to mandatory law. Yachtara does not charge for use during the free portion of the trial.

Yachtara does not voluntarily extend the EU/EEA 14-day withdrawal right to consumers outside the EU/EEA. Consumers elsewhere receive only the cancellation, cooling-off, withdrawal and refund rights that applicable mandatory law in their country provides. Those rights may have a different scope, deadline, procedure or remedy. Yachtara will honour them to the extent that they apply.

If no mandatory withdrawal or refund right applies, cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current paid period. Nothing on this page limits any mandatory local consumer right.

3. How to withdraw

If you have a statutory withdrawal right, send an unambiguous statement that you want to withdraw before the applicable deadline. For the EU/EEA right described above, send it before the 14-day period expires:

  • by email to support@yachtara.com; or
  • through any withdrawal function provided in the Yachtara account.

EU/EEA consumers may use the model form below, but it is not compulsory. Consumers elsewhere may use it where applicable local law permits, but the form does not itself create a withdrawal right. Sending an unambiguous notice before the applicable deadline is sufficient unless mandatory local law requires something different.

4. Model withdrawal form

To: AD Internet Consulting BV, Ringlaan 11, 3560 Lummen, Belgium
Email: support@yachtara.com

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following Yachtara subscription:
Plan:
Subscription or order reference:
Contract/trial start date:
Consumer's name:
Consumer's account email:
Consumer's address, if needed to identify the transaction:
Date:
Signature, only if this form is sent on paper:

Do not request a copy of an identity document unless ordinary account and transaction information is insufficient to verify the request.

5. Refund timing

For a valid EU/EEA withdrawal, any refund due will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after Yachtara is informed of the withdrawal. Yachtara will use the same payment method unless the consumer expressly agrees otherwise and does not incur a fee.

For consumers elsewhere, refund timing, method and amount are governed only by applicable mandatory local law. This paragraph does not voluntarily extend the EU/EEA refund rules outside the EU/EEA.

6. Complaints

Contact support@yachtara.com first. If the complaint remains unresolved, a consumer may contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service at https://consumerombudsman.be.
